PRACTICE WHAT WE PREACH, PLAY WHAT WE PRACTICE
At Golden Rule Music School the message is simple, "Practice What We Preach, Play What We Practice". Every lesson has a purpose. If we learn it or practice it, we are going to play it. The philosophy and curriculum of the school is designed specifically to have students up and playing as soon as possible. Jam Classes and Group Classes are offered to allow you the full benefits of interactive practice. Spaces are also available to rehearse with your band or friends to further facilitate learning and enhance the musical experience.

Learn
This is the time we take to “learn” the physical, mental, and the theoretical side of our instrument. Spending time understanding how the instrument works and practicing the necessary movements to become proficient on the instrument.
Play
Now that we have spent time and learned some of the basic concepts and how to perform those on the instrument it is time to “play” what we have learned. Putting all the pieces together in a coherent way not only makes you better at your instrument, it allows you to hear those concepts in real world application, and adds in memorization.
Perform
No instructional lesson can teach you the skills, the confidence, and how to truly handle yourself and your instrument like playing music live in front of an audience. This is the ultimate step in your musical journey. Nothing compares to standing on stage and rocking out to your favorite songs like a live performance.
